Kassi turned 1 on November 8th, 2012. Wow how quickly the last year went by! We love her so much and she has added so much to our family.

I came to update this blog and discovered I haven't even updated it since the birth of our youngest family member. So here is a very quick update.

We welcomed Kassi Ann Johnson into our arms on Nov. 8th 2011

My birthdaughter Katie is very special to us. I'm so blessed to be able to have her in my life. This picture shows all my living children. Katie, Eric, Kassi and Kayla.
On March 4th 2012 we had a public ceremony to dedicate baby Kassi to Christ. Katie was able to join us for the occasion and Katie and I were able to share our testimony and adoption story. God has really blessed us and we give all the credit to our Lord and savior. In this picture from Left to right. Linda, Katie, Kassi, Greg Kayla and Eric.

early fall 2011
Time for an update. We have been busy with homeschool, homeschool groups, horseshows, our animals and getting ready for our baby girl who is due November 14th! We are very excited about our growing family and while we wait we are enjoying watching Kayla and Eric grow up and learn new things. Kayla is now in Kindergarten and loves homeschool. Eric is also loving "school" he is all over the place and is all boy : ). They both love horses but Eric seems to really be driven to horses and still hates having to end his time with them when its time to stop riding. Kayla is all about the horseshows and can pretty much control her own pony at the show now.
Horseshow in August. Kayla and Eric did great and love the horseshows.

Its a girl

I don't know how these pics turned out upside down but due to lack of time I'll just leave them for now sorry. Anyways all is well we are 21 weeks along with a new baby girl : ). She was moving all over during the ultrasound and even had her thumb at her mouth it was cute. Greg couldn't get off work for the ultrasound so my stepmother Julia went with me and then we went to lunch it was really fun. We are excited about our new addition and the pregnancy is going pretty well.

Wonderful Christmas
We had a wonderful Christmas season in 2010. We feel so blessed to have had our families with us. Many of our relatives joined us for Christmas and new years and we really enjoyed having all of Gregs family and all of my family at our house at the same time. This seems amazing since we often have difficulties getting all of one or the other family together so to have both at one time was a blessing. This picture is the best we got.
I have pics to post of more of my extended family when we all attended our church Christmas eve service and that was pretty special too but those pics are on my dad's camera and I don't have them yet. We are excited about the new year and wish all of you a wonderful year in 2011. If all goes as planned I will still get a new years letter out since I didn't get a Christmas letter out.

just some news
No time to post pics but a quick update : ).
Our goat is still pregnant about 6 weeks past what we thought was her due date. She has lots of milk and is huge. Our cow (Star) is due to calf in june after a lot of work trying to get her bred last year. Our new horse Flicka fits in great with the herd and I like her but she's not turning out to be trustworthy enough to make her into a lesson horse so we got another horse just this week that we haven't even named yet : ). He is a big sorrel gelding that seems pretty gentle so with more time we'll know how well he'll work out. I (Linda) am now working full time on the 2010 Census interviewing locals that the census bureau still needs information on. Thankfully Sarah and Alyssa are able to help out by babysitting in the afternoons until Greg gets home. Kayla and Eric are doing great and enjoyed the day at the zoo today with playgroup. Kayla said had fun at the zoo with her Grandad and Grandma a few weeks ago and when we left the zoo today she said "Last time I went to the zoo with Grandma and your dad huh mommy?" Cracked me up. Eric loved the turtles and obeyed quite well without having to have his hand held which made him feel so grown up. Greg has also been working hard at his current job as well as doing some PRN work for another company on the weekends. He and I were both busy keeping my dad busy while they visited in April since we had to build a chicken house for our 10 little chicks. My dad did a great job building a chicken house with what we had laying around the yard from demolished buildings after last years storms : ). I think he preferred building the beautiful playhouse he surprised the kids with when they arrived in TX this spring. Well if I can I'll post pics soon but it wasn't working when I tried it and I really must get to bed this full time work is wearing me out but I do love the job.

Then a few days ago Grandad Goodall and Grandma Julia arrived to visit from Arizona with a special surprise on a trailer behind their motor home. Grandad built this wonderful playhouse for Kayla and Eric. It is the greatest and both kids are very excited about it.
Eric is going to be 2 in June and Kayla will be 4 in August. Its hard to believe they are growing up so quickly. We enjoy every day with them. Life keeps us busy and Greg's job is going well. Linda will start work as a Census taker at the end of this month so at that point life will be even busier but the job is temporary and Linda is looking foreward to a change in daily routine for a while. Give us a call or send us an email or something we'd love to stay in touch with you.
