computer issues
I keep intending to post here but keep procrastinating thinking that I'll be able to post pics. Ever since our computer crashed in January we haven't had things back together correctly. We will eventually get our computer back but for now we're using an old one and so we don't have things as easily accessible as normal.
You'll just have to read without getting current pictures.
Allergies are taking over our household. Eric has really struggled with them and has had an ear infection and a low grade fever for the past week. Today he had some lab work done so hopefully we can figure something out to help him feel better. I'm tired of giving him 5 different medicines each day, I feel like its all I do. In addition to the 5 presciption meds he has been getting probiotics and tylenol or ibuprofen, Just too many meds! However he is so good. He is such a happy baby. Today he never cried and just smiled the whole time both at the Dr.s office and the hospital where his blood was drawn. He is also cruising along walls one handed. He has decided the best way to carry things is in his mouth so its not unusual to see him crawling across the room with toys in his mouth as a way to transport them from one end of the room to the other. I guess thats why Kayla thinks he is her puppy dog.
Kayla's favorite thing to do is play in the dogs water. Of course this really annoys mommy. Yesterday she got to play at some friends house and I told her to Obey their mommy. I am told she obeyed perfectly and that one time she was going to play in their dogs water dish and when she was told very nicely not to she never tried again. Let me tell you it never happens like that at home : ). Kayla is growing up so fast. She got to finger paint the other day and paint her hands to make handprints and now she thinks all paint goes all over her hands : ).
It hasn't rained here in months and our pasture is dry and dead. We have had to buy hay since the beginning of December and as of now we don't see an end to it. We are really praying for rain but I guess there is always a good side to everything. We haven't had to worry about our dirt road this winter.
I'll try to post pictures soon. If you want to see what we look like I guess you'll have to come visit us.

About time for an update
After spending most of January sick the family is finally getting back to "life". Eric has allergies (Cedar fever) per the Dr.s and is taking Claritin and Singulair now to control the symptoms and is finally feeling much much better. He is not only crawling very very fast but he's pulling up on furniture and starting to cruise. He drinks from a sippy cup and eats anyting and everything I allow. Kayla continues to challenge me as I try to find ways to challenge her. Tonight we played a game of memory and even though she doesn't have much patience her memory and matching skills are better than mine! We had a great time celebrating Christmas with the Johnson side of the family this past weekend. I'm including a couple pictures but we didn't take as many as I now wish we had.
Cheerios are a favorite for Eric and he likes them by the handful as you can see. Abby is sitting next to him entertained by his excitement for food.

pulling up on the gate saying "hey let me out so I can explore the other half of the house"

Cousin Frank got a miniature foosball table for Christmas but Kayla had more fun than anyone I think. Here she plays with cousin Frank and Uncle Gordon. I don't think she wanted them to go home.

Have a Merry Christmas
I'm no professional photographer but here are some pictures I took for Christmas. Its just plain hard to get both kids to smile at the same time. Chuwy was a great sport and both kids loved having him as part of the fun.
BIG kiss!

And another kiss. As you can see Eric loves the kisses his sister gives
We pray you have a Merry Christmas and in case we don't have the chance to update the blog again before Christmas we will be home from Arizona on Dec. 29th and hopefully will have lots more pictures to share.
Merry Christmas from Greg, Linda, Kayla and Eric
