Happy Birthday Katie

19 years ago I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl! After two days of cherishing every moment I had with her I did what was best for her and gave her to the family that God blessed her with. Katie and her sister Whitney have been raised in a home filled with the love of Christ. They have a special story to tell and I am proud to have had a part in the story. Katie has grown to be a beautiful, caring and special person and I want to share with you a few pictures that I hold so very dear. I also want to thank the Colemans for answering God's call and adopting her and raising her to be such a great person.
Happy Birthday Katie!!!!!

kids have fun

While Grandma and Grandad were here the kids got to go to the park and play. It was Erics first time since he's been old enough to really enjoy it. He really loved the swing.
Kayla got to ride her tricycle in a better place than we have here at home since we don't have any concrete just dirt and gravel. She did really good but she still needs to learn to steer.

This picture was taken the morning Grandma and Grandad had to leave to go home to AZ. They both miss the Grandparents but they'll get to see them again at the end of April.

The Holliday Inn comes home

I think Holliday recognized his house when it arrived at the property monday.
here the Holliday Inn (the name it earned when first built for my great horse) is prepared for the big move

This is the shed from the old house. We have decided to call it the bunkhouse. We had it moved from the old place on monday also. It has a toilet in it and is where my saddles and tack live. For now it will hold everything we own that won't fit in the house. In the future maybe it will be a cute little bunkhouse for guests who feel like being a little western.

Here it is just before being unloaded. You can see Dad's motorhome in the picture also. We hope to fix up RV hookups to accomodate those who want to visit and stay in their own RV's However we will be glad to make room in the house if you want to visit and don't want to sleep in the pictured accomodations ; )

Here you can see the new horse shelter under construction. It won't be long now before the roof is on and the horses will have some great shade etc. This project has been on hold for a long time because of other important things happening like having a baby and getting our house etc. I am so excited to be getting this done.
These are just a few of the projects completed while Dad was here visiting. Kayla and Eric already miss "Doodads and Dooma" but they enjoyed the time they had Grandma was so good with the kids while we worked on all these projects. She even made Kayla a vallance and a pillowcase for her bedroom. Eric got curtains for a gift from Grandma too but I don't think he was as excited as Kayla was.

food and drinks and buildings and goats plus more

A Giant burger how about that Eric! I made this for dinner the other night so we got this picture with it in front of Eric. I think he likes it : )
sometimes playtime has to stop for a thirstquencher. I couldn't resist this picture!
Kayla is still having a great time with Grandparents as is Eric. Allergies have been hard on Eric but he's still doing great otherwise. In fact on tuesday he stood alone for more than just a few seconds. He's been practicing his standing skills ever since and this evening he "almost" took a successful step : ) I need to get my running shoes on to keep up now.
We have been busy with projects and I can't wait to post pics but I have been almost too busy to take any. Dad and Greg have been working hard at putting up the horse shelter and getting the "bunkhouse" and "Holliday Inn" moved from the old house to the property. The bunkhouse is a 12x20 storage shed with a toilet and sink that holds my saddles and will have to hold Greg's tools until we get something more out here for them. The Holliday inn is the shelter Dad built at the old house for our dear horse, Holliday : ) Ya think he'll be happy to have his shelter back LOL. The movers were supposed to be there early thurs. morning but never showed so after we called them they said they'd move it friday. Hopefully it happens and I can post pictures. I spent the afternoon at the vet office with Dolly our goat after I discovered she had a fever of 106.4! She is doing better now but will require some doctoring for the next 5 days. I am so thankful that Grandma has been here to help with the kids this week.
