Pregnancy Checkup week 24

More than half way through the pregnancy now and things are starting to happen quickly! This morning was our regular Dr. checkup and everything looks great. Eric is growing fast and has a strong healthy heartbeat. I am feeling myself slow down physically a little bit but overall I am doing better than ever. I even jumped on my horse (Holliday) for a short bareback ride around the pasture. Well I didn't really jump on it was more like a slow climb on but either way I did ride and it felt great. Holliday was a good boy he must know he has to take extra special care of little Eric.
Greg turned in his notice at his current job last night and will be starting with a new company in a couple weeks. His current job had not yet provided insurance for us so it will be good to be with a company that has good benefits. The bad part is that there is a 90 day waiting period for insurance and that puts us at the time of our due date. When I casually mentioned that to my Dr. this morning he explained that with my history he thinks it is much more likely and preferable that I deliver a little early. So I guess we'll just see how baby and I are holding up when the time comes. You can all pray for our medical financial situation with us.
Kayla had a fun morning and got to play at a babysitters house then go to playgroup then to a friends house to play with their new puppy before lunch and nap but she is out cold now and hopefully will take a long nap to make up for her being awake half the night due to a cold, and to prepare her for a busy evening at church tonight.
Our thoughts and prayers are with each one of you. I must go now so I can get something accomplished (like laundry) while Kayla sleeps safely and can't scatter more clothes than I can fold.

Week with Grandparents

Kayla had a fun week playing with her Grandparents! Grandma Julia and Grandad Goodall Arrived last wednessday and just left yesterday. The week was filled with adventure. She even got to see Grandma Johnson during our motorhome trip to the Aransas Wildlife refuge.
Last friday she had a Dr. appt and we found out that she has finally gained enough weight to be turned foreward facing in her carseat. She now weighs 23 lbs! As you can see from the pics she's growing up fast.

We plan to name him Eric Franklin in honor of his Grandpa Johnson who was Earl Franklin Johnson Jr.

Healthy and active baby boy kept the ultrasound technician busy chasing him around. Everything looks great in measurements etc.

routine Dr. appt

This morning I had my routine pregnancy checkup. Everything is going great. I have gained 4/10 of a pound the whole pregnancy! I feel like I have gained much more than that but the Dr. is happy with my progress. I have an ultrasound scheduled tomorrow so hopefully we'll be able to update boy or girl status on here tomorrow! My cold has been a true nightmare for me this week and I think I only slept about 3 hours last night because I kept coughing but I think I'm doing better today.
